CSM is TPP's 2024 Member of The Year

Bonnie announced the 2024 Member of the Year, the College of Southern Maryland (CSM), at the TPP Annual Dinner, to much applause!

Bonnie acknowledged the important role that CSM plays in building the future workforce of Southern Maryland, “The heart of Southern Maryland.” Dr. Yolanda Wilson, president of CSM, accepted the award.

Dr. Wilson had the following to say. “The College of Southern Maryland is incredibly honored to be recognized as The Patuxent Partnership Member of the Year for 2024. On behalf of the college’s board of trustees, faculty, staff, and students, we are grateful for this amazing partnership that has brought us together to build success for and within Southern Maryland. TPP’s Executive Director, Bonnie Green, and the TPP Board of Directors demonstrate the power of collaboration and partnership as we have come together to create spaces for us to think bigger and respond quicker to address the needs facing our communities.

A shining example is The Patuxent Partnership’s support this past year to expand and upgrade CSM’s cyber labs, which directly led to our ability to quickly accept the statewide initiative and stand up the Cyber Workforce Accelerator Program. With this dedicated cyber range firmly established within the Barbara Ives Cyber Lab at the Leonardtown Campus, CSM is now poised to offer cutting-edge training in this high-demand field.

TPP’s continued commitment of partnering with the College of Southern Maryland in supporting STEM scholarships and programming, the highly successful CSM Robotics Team, and cybersecurity initiatives directly impact our work to expand access, build momentum, and create mobility for our students.”
