The Patuxent Partnership (TPP), along with Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) and St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM), will host the MD Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) on Monday and Tuesday, March 15th & 16th, 2021. This is the third year that TPP has collaborated with NAWCAD and SMCM to host the MD JSHS.

Over 120 abstracts were submitted by students across the state for this year’s symposium despite the pandemic. Topics range from Environmental Science to Robotics, Population Genetics, Molecular Biology, Mathematics, Computer Sciences and many more. Unfortunately, no entrants were received from St Mary’s, Calvert or Charles Counties.
Twenty students will compete in the symposium. Ten finalists will give oral presentations on Monday March 15th and ten finalists will do poster board presentations on Tuesday March 16th. Winners of the competition will be announced on Tuesday 16th at approx. 11am, at the conclusion of the program.
